Understanding and Helping the Anxious

Rev. David Petersen at Cyberstones has another great post on helping the suffering. He calls it helping the anxious, but I think it really applies to how we treat anyone who is sick. Please read and check it out:

“This is a problem for all fallen men, but for those who are healthy, these are minor annoyances. Healthy people can pick a restaurant and then move on. But for some who are mentally ill every decision feels like a crisis and an enormous weight. They not only lose the perspective of which decisions are important but they are often rendered impotent by fear of making the wrong decision.” -Rev. David Petersen
This is so true! And, I appreciated his articulation of what it is like to have lost perspective. I sent a copy of the quote to my husband, to help him understand. Thank you for ‘linking’ the ‘post’ to your ‘site!’

Pastor Peterson surely hits a bull’s eye on this one. Much gracias for sharing the link.
