20,000 and counting

Today we reached 20,000 hits over the past 11 months.  In the global scale of the massive blogs that are out there with thousands of hits a day, that’s not very much.  But for this pastor, it is a testament that maybe our church body will start to wake up to the real suffering of her pastors (and others), and begin to examine how we view the ministry in the light of mental illness.

There have been a few blogs that have started up since this one’s inception that I am also very thankful for.  I’m not going to try and list them.  You can find them on the blogroll on the side of the site.  But it is a great hting to realize that none of us are ever alone in our trials.

Thanks for your thoughts, prayers, conversations, and support.  I hope that this site continues to serve as a beacon of hope to the suffering and hurting.

  1. Hello. My name is Allan Adams and I was directed here by a Lutheran on line friend. Although I am not a Lutheran I have a deep passion to reach as many as possible in the Body of Christ with the message that Mental Illness is not a shameful thing.

I am a lay person and have others who help me with my blog who have expertise in counseling and also have degrees. I write articles to inform and encourage others and seek to offer them a place of refuge in cyber space where they might explore the articles, links, and whatever else they might be interested in.

One of the things I do is I link to churches that do not see mental illness as sin or a character issue. If you would like me to link to your church after viewing my blog I would be more than happy to do so. If you believe my blog serves a purpose for believers I would be honored if you linked to my blog.

If you are not interested in what I am doing I will not take offense. I pray nothing but God’s best for all of you. You can visit my blog at http://www.morethancoping.wordpress.com

If you would like to contact me you can do so at erunner54@gmail.com

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. If possible, I would like permission to link to this blog. I will not do so until I receive permission. Thanks again, Allan Adams
